Every LPN who believes they have recognized a superior base of knowledge and nursing knowledge may wish to take the next step and go back to school to be a Registered Nurse (RN). The difference between a LVN and a Registered Nurse may seem small at first glance, but vary greatly in the schooling required to accomplish each certification, and the opportunities afforded to each down the road are what really makes the difference. Many more options become accessible to a Registered nurse as they gain more practice, ones that will not be offered to a LVN in spite of experience or base understanding. Without and Registered nurse certification, it is increasingly tricky for a LVN certified nurse to continue to receive advances at work or to further their profession, especially money-wise. While the wealth may be okay in the start of their profession, an LVN will want to maintain some schooling program so they can continue and go on to grow in the rest of their career.
