Five years ago I received my LVN License and ever since then the only work I have been able to find in my area was giving out flu shots which were spotty gigs at best. These jobs were so ridiculous and the hours were low, along with the pay, I had to work two jobs to pay my bills. Then I found this site and a really good LVN to RN bridge program close to my house. The difference between a LVN and a RN is like night and day. I have plenty of opportunities and the pay is about double what I was making as a LVN. I just bought a new car and things are so much better for me now :)
