The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) generally involves dressing wounds, monitoring and reporting on patient condition and recording vital signs. Since the economic down turn LPNs have endured role changes where they have to work as Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA) in addition to their role as a LPN or in some places many LPN positions were eliminated and replaced by Medical Assistants (MA) or CNAs for much cheaper rates. Our sponsored links on the sidebars can help and we have received many emails from LPN/LVNs from around the U.S that have experienced similar issues and our site helped them find the right bridge program. Other cases are they have worked as LPN/LVNs long enough that they want to find the right LPN to RN Bridge program so that they can advance to become the RN, and in many cases they return back to their old employers as RNs after graduation.
